Press Release

Instructions:

Based on your graded Mission Statement and Annotated bibliography assignment and research that you conducted at the Schomburg Center, write a press release that contains a clear focus of the campaign, outlines the approach, and defines the target audience. You must include relevant sources that you located at the Schomburg Center. 

Your press release should contain:

  • Introduction with a clear thesis 
  • body paragraphs that defend your point claimed in the thesis 
  • conclusion 
  • Works Cited page in your submission (primary sources should be included)

Thesis guidelines:  

A thesis statement presents your opinion [claim] on a subject and lists your arguments [developed in the body of your essay] to support your claim. Your working thesis must be based on your research; it should be narrow and debatable and placed at the end of the introductory paragraph.
